10hr Service Learning Check

 1. I am working with David Sentance at Woodley Park, a large field with 4 cricket grounds, located in Woodley near Encino.

2. I help coach David's Hollywood, Division 4, team who is part of Southern California Cricket Association. Currently I just help David set up for practice, like putting out cones or wickets, then I mostly just watch and examine how he coaches and help give out techniques or watch bowlers and batsmen to make sure they are doing the right things. I also handle the fielding practice. So I do the catching practice drills and fielding drills.

3. The most important thing I learned so far is that it is not always easy to coach, you have to really know what you are doing and know what you are talking about, because if you teach a wrong technique, the player would start to play like that and it could really affect the player's performance in a match. And it is really hard to find the right technique for each player because everyone is different and plays differently so you have to learn how to coach each individual.
